Wrist Pain
We regularly see new patients in our practice with wrist problems. This ranges from sprains to fractures to rehabilitation after surgery. Wrist pain is also strongly related to elbow pain, an important specialty in our practice.
At Evolution Physical Therapy, we look beyond your wrist problems. In fact, these complaints are often not isolated and stem from posture, exercise, lifestyle, diet and more. We are happy to tell you about our handling of these complaints.

How do wrist problems occur?
Wrist pain can occur in a variety of ways, including an acute movement such as a fall, which damages muscles, tendons and bones. Wrist pain can also develop due to poor posture, poor stabilizing ability and muscle weakness.
Wherever the origin of the complaint lies, in many cases the symptoms persist for an extended period of time and treatment and self-care are needed to reduce and keep the symptoms away.
What wrist complaints do we treat?
Our practice employs experienced and scientifically and holistically trained physical therapists who can treat and assess all common Wrist complaints. If the diagnosis reveals that specific additional knowledge is needed for successful treatment, we can draw on a large network of medical specialists. Our experience includes:
- Carpal Boss (thickening of the bone on the wrist)
- Instability of the wrist joint
- SL lesion (torn wrist ligament)
- Thumb osteoarthritis
- De Quervain’s syndrome (tendinitis of the thumb and wrist)
- A- specific complaints (sore hand and finger – decreased sensation in hand and fingers – loss of strength – snapping or cracking sound)
