Neck pain
Over 20% of adults experience recurrent neck pain. It is often difficult to indicate exactly where the pain is. It can also be in the neck and back, as the spine continues into the neck, to even a small part in the head. It is often the pain at the back of the neck that hinders people during daily activities.
At Evolution Physiotherapy, we look beyond only the neck pain. In fact, these complaints are often not isolated and stem from posture, exercise, lifestyle and more. We are happy to tell you more about our handling of these complaints.

How does neck pain occur?
Neck pain can occur in a variety of ways, such as an acute movement like a fall, which damages muscles, tendons and bones. Neck pain can also develop from iccorect posture, poor stabilizing ability, muscle weakness or even stress.
Wherever the origin of the complaint lies, in many cases the symptoms persist for an extended period of time and treatment and self-care are needed to reduce and keep the symptoms away.

What neck problems do we treat?
Our practice has scientifically and holistically trained physiotherapists who can treat and assess all common neck pain. If the diagnosis reveals that specific additional knowledge is needed for successful treatment, we can draw on a large network of medical specialists. Our experience includes:
- Whiplash
- Neck hernia
- Cervicogenic headache (headache starting in the neck)
- Cervical facet syndrome (pain in the neck joints)
- Cervical radicular pain (nerve pain in the neck)
- Non-specific complaints
We can also help prepare for surgery, or rehabilitate after neck surgery.
