Ankle complaints

The ankle is a complex joint with many (micro)bone structures, muscles, tendons and nerves. Ankle pain can be caused by injury, improper foot position, age or overuse.

At Evolution Physiotherapy, we look beyond your ankle symptoms. In fact, these complaints are often not isolated and stem from posture, exercise, lifestyle, diet and more. We are happy to tell you about our handling of these complaints.

    How do ankle problems occur?

Ankle pain can occur in a variety of ways, including an acute movement such as a fall, which damages muscles, tendons and bones. Ankle problems can also develop due to poor posture, poor stabilizing ability and muscle weakness.

Wherever the origin of the complaint lies, in many cases the symptoms persist for an extended period of time and treatment and self-care are needed to reduce and keep the symptoms away.
